Vigna Montersino

Our vineyard in the Montersino Cru was planted in 1998.
The vineyard is about half a hectar and is located at the southern tip of the Barbaresco winegrowing region in San Rocco seno d’Elvio (a small hamlet outside of Alba).

Montersino has a southern exposure with a higher altitude than Barbaresco. The steep slopes have clay and limestone soil with thin layers of sandstone and “tufo”, which brings out the natural elegance of Nebbiolo, both in the nose and the mouth.
Our Barbaresco “Montersino” is aged for 20 months in 20 hectoliter Austrian and German oak barrels.
