Piemonte Cortese La Rocca DOC

The Cortese grape is known for having a very generous but difficult character. Thanks to the meticulous management in the vineyard and in the cellar, has allowed Papà Angelo to produce a long-lasting and particulary complex white wine that is capable of combining fragrant hints and more complex, mineral and spicy notes.

Area of origin: Barbaresco and San Rocco Seno d’Elvio (Alba)

Exposure: from East to West

Soil: marl, with a prevalence of limestone and thin veins of sand

Grape variety: Cortese 100%

Planting year: 1980 and 2014

Aging: 4-6 months in 225 liter French pack Barriques, where fermentation also takes place

Average annual production: 3500 bottles of 0.75L
